"Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring - it was peace." - Milan Kundera (b. 1929) Czech author
Love the photos! What it is to be beautiful from every angle. Toodle pip! Bertie. PS Re your comments on the seals. In general in the UK we are much more relaxed than in the US about where dogs are allowed. The Sands of Forvie, where we were on Sunday is in fact and National Nature Reserve, i.e. a highly protected conservation area. In parts of the Reserve, dogs are supposed to be on the lead, but this in only really taken seriously when the birds are nesting. The seals are well accustomed to dogs - there were in fact several clusters like the ones in the picture, the colony is thriving. (I was horrified when I first travelled in the USA to learn how many restrictions there are on dogs in National Parks, etc, and I must admit I strongly suspect that some of these are unnecessary).
I like to sleep the same way at Bob, although I usually have to wait until the middle of the night, when my 'rents are asleep, to sneak into that position as I'm not really SUPPOSED to be sleeping there. Bob, I know I'm a dude, but you do have a cute bum!

Too cute. And good Bob for sleeping on top of the covers, unlike a black labrador I could mention!
ReplyDeleteWe generally have two shelties wedged in, which is why DH is doubtful about having a third. We can't fit a bigger bed in the room.
