Simple Project Knitted Bird's Nest

What with Weasley being a puppy and chewing everything in sight I haven't been knitting too much lately.   However, I did manage to make a knitted bird's nest from the Purl Bee.

It's far from perfect but I think it at least resembles a bird's nest:

The project is simple and its a good opportunity to practice knitting on double pointed needles.  You can find the pattern here. I used sock yarn for the eggs, rather then fingering weight yearn, so they are a bit larger then the eggs in the pattern.

Here is a good video for learning to knit in the round on double pointed needles:

  1. Very cute. Wonder what would happen if you put it in a tree? Have a great Friday.
