Bob's Birthday Bash
Bob here-My 5th birthday weekend started kind of slow. Saturday morning mom and dad just took us for our regular walk in downtown Jersey City, something about me eating too much grass and goose poop in the park so now we usually walk around the down town area. Whatever, it was an OK walk but nothing special.
When mom and dad took me out an hour later I figured it was time for my birthday treat. I was excited and then.....they brought me to the groomers!
Sure I hadn't had a bath in 3 months but what kind of a birthday treat is that. Mom and dad left me there and went to Manhattan to eat brunch, without me! and I love brunch, sigh.
Mom and Dad can back about two hours later when I was all clean and perfumed up.
They took me home and broke out the party hats and that's when I knew it was coming: cake!
First, I had to open presents even though I really wanted that cake.
I got a t-shirt with a letter B on it from Diva Dog Designs, just like Tubby's T shirt that he got on his birthday. I also got a viking print collar from Day Dog Designs , a retro style stork toy from Olive Green Dog, and a buster cube. Mom says a new dragon tag for my collar is its on its way.
Then we had to pose for a group picture. We were all distracted by the smell of the cake though, so mom couldn't get us all looking at the camera.
I took a picture with mom said I was so handsome she wanted to take a picture with me, sigh. Can't she see I'm starving!
Finally, it was time for cake and it did not disappoint. Mom made me a meat loaf cake with liver frosting,
she says she will share the recipe on tasty Tuesday. Boy was it good! I have heard mom saying something about the D word, meaning diet, and me so I figured I should enjoy myself. After all, you only turn 5 once!
I ate so much I was feeling a bit sluggish afterward. I had to spend some down time on the couch with Mom and Dad.
If you haven't done so already don't forget to enter my birthday bulldanna give away. We will be announcing the winner tomorrow afternoon.
