The Sleepy Foodie-Or Weasley's Second Trip to Manhattan

On Saturday Weasley had to get his fourth round of puppy shots.  The vet warned us that he would be sleep and that we should keep an eye on him in the unlikely event there was a reaction.  Since it was our anniversary we had decided to go into Manhattan to eat something yummy and we decided to bring Weasley with us in his travel pouch (good socialization opportunity).  Weasley slept through the whole adventure

He slept outside Luke's Lobster Bar where we got Lobster Rolls

and he slept at Tompkins Square Park where we sat on a bench and ate our lobster rolls and drinking Maine Blueberry Soda.

He perked up and barked when we gave him a look at the Tompkins Square Park Dog Run .

"I'll be back when I'm bigger!"

He slept outside the Howl Festival, which looked awesome Bouncy Castles for Kids and all to celebrate Allen Ginsberg.  I don't know about you but when I hear the poem Howl I definitely think of bouncy castles.  Weasley did perk up a bit as we walked past the Howl Festival art displays but even in his half awake state he didn't see any Angel Headed Hipsters (poem reference).

Weasley snoozed outside the People's Pops stand where mom got a Rhubarb Jasmine Popsickle

and he was half asleep while Dad at his ice cream Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream

Weasley's cuteness attracted some admirers who perked him up.

On the way to the train we passed a genuine Weasley dopelganger outside of a building

Truly Weasley belongs in the West Village.

(Note: Weasley woke right up when we got home!)

  10. Taking your puppy out like that you must have had a gazzilion people who wanted to pet Wesley's adorable head. And he slumbered away.....

When we were in Florence, Italy this past Sept. we saw these unique popsicle shops and wondered why no one has put in one our area. There you are at one and oh that flavor sounds tasty and refreshing!

Happy Anniversary to you both too!

  11. Poor Weasly - so young and naive. Little dude, you should NEVER succumb to sleepiness when there is potential for human vittles. I mean, while you were getting your forty winks, you missed out on samples of lobster, popsicles, and ice cream (which all of us pugs DESERVE). Next time you go in to Manhattan, Weasley, DEMAND a pastrami sandwich! :)

    -Love,
    Sid.
