Monday Mischief-Attack of the Cutezilla!

This adorable Godzilla sweater with its detachable tail and hood is one Halloween costume we have gotten plenty of use out of.

Tubby has worn it, Weasley has worn it, and when halloween is over we remove the tail and the hat portion and use it as a regular sweater.  Its one of the best dog clothing purchases I ever made, and I have bought a LOT of doggie clothing, and honestly the pugs really don't seem to mind wearing it all, its so soft and comfortable they actually like it (well maybe not the hood part).   Sadly the Etsy shop that made this adorable item, Bean Town Hand Made, is now defunct.  The good news is that the shops designer, Ann Burton, has a new book Patterns for Pooches

with the patterns for all of her adorable creations.  It retails on Amazon for $13.66.   Sadly its a crochet book, and I don't crochet (though I can knit a bit).  While I am dreaming of some day learning to crochet, mostly so I can make some of these patterns, I am definitely a bit too swamped now.  I know a lot of my fellow bloggers are crocheters though and I'm sure you would be happy with the patterns in this book and your pooches would be all the cuter for it.

  3. I'm far too uncoordinated to knit so I learned to crochet when I was expecting - wanted to make a baby blanket. I discovered that I didn't like it! So I would go the purchase route myself, but admire those who make these cute things.

  10. Oh my, what a cute Cutezilla! I love the outfit, especially that you can remove tail and hat portion. I have no idea how to knit or crochet, but it should be so much fun if I can!

  19. Omgosh that godzilla sweater is beyond cute! It's things like these that make me sad that I can't dress up Beamer because he's massive.

I tried to learn how to crochet once. I gave up 2 minutes in.

  21. Hi Y'all!

Been way behind in my reading and am trying desperately to catch up with everyone! My Humans lives have been a whirlwind of activity, leaving very little time for me to use the computer.

This is the cutest photo! Love it!

    Y'all come by now,

  23. Very cute sweater! Glad you all are getting good use out of it. The hat's really cute, although us pugs aren't too obliging with hat wearing - we'll wear one for a photo or two, but only if treats are flowing. :)

    -Love,
    Sid.

P.S. My dad was trying to teach me to fetch yesterday and he referred back to your post about teaching Weasley to fetch. So far I will go so far as to touch the ball, but I don't pick it up in my mouth and bring it back (that's the human's job anyway, in my opinion).

    -Love,
    Sid.
