Power of the Paw for Dr. Zira

Poor Dr. Z is not doing well.  This weekend she was totally fine, or her old lady level of fine.  This afternoon I came home from work and she was panting and gasping.  The vet did an X-Ray and confirmed that has congestive heart failure, about four months ago they heard a murmur but an EKG at that time showed no enlargement.  Zira got oxygen and diuretics and is on 4 different kinds of pills.   Since Z has some kidney issues these meds present a threat to her kidneys.  On Wednesday she is scheduled for an EKG.  The good news is that right now she is already looking much better and has stopped gasping.   Paws crossed that she will continue to do better.

    Oh goodness, I know all about heart scares...hopefully this one goes away quickly just like mine did. Dr. Z, you have my prayers.
