We love dog friendly dining establishments, its one of our favorite things about the warmer months in the city. Nearly every restaurant and cafe around here has dog friendly outdoor seating, but one place trumps them all in the dog friendly department: Tommy Two Scoops. They allow dogs in the back garden, which is walled in even though you have to walk through the restaurant to get there. That is seriously dog friendly since most places only allow dogs in the side walk portion of the restaurant. Plus the owners and workers love dogs and always take time to great and pet them AND they give out tasty biscuits. Did I mention that Tommy Two Scoops makes gelato, and that its very good. They have been been mentioned in the New York Times.
This weekend we brought Tubby, Ping and Weasley (in his stroller since he is still very young) to the restaurant.
They were so friendly they invited us inside and all of the workers made a fuss over Weasley, great socialization opportunity!
We just got some ice cream but we will definitely back to try their brunch and visit their out door garden.
After ice cream we went for a walk in Van Vorst park
Weasley enjoyed listening the sound of barking dogs in the dog run, he barked right back! We promised to take him in when he gets older.
That's a pretty background you got there. Is this Weasley's first trip? He looks like he's getting into Daigon Alley!
ReplyDeleteIs that stroller meant for dogs alone? You know, I don't think we have that here.

Weasley looked like a stuffed animal in the 1st stroller shot! What a great day he and the others had!

YOU GOT TO GO IN AN ICE CREAM SHOP?!? SCORE!
ReplyDeleteTommy Two Scoops sounds like an excellent ice cream shop! You gotta love a place that loves you dogs too!
ReplyDeleteSounds awesome! Also, I'm not sure it's possible, but Weasley seems to be getting more adorable by the day!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great place to go! Do they have doggie ice cream too? ;)
ReplyDeleteIce cream is the best!

Wow! What a fun weekend trip! I also got to go on a fun trip this weekend but sadly it did not involve any ice cream. Weasly looks really cute in his pup stroller. I bet he got lots of "oooooh's and aaaaaaah's". Tommy 2 Scoops sounds really good. My 'rents love gelato (I wish they'd let me just TASTE IT!).

Wow!!! That looks like some serious fun!!! I would love to check that place out. Maybe when we go for our 1000 pigs shoot we can shoehorn a trip to Tommy Two Scoops into our itinerary!
ReplyDeleteHi Y'all,
ReplyDeleteStoppin' to say "hi"! Thanks for stoppin' to visit me!

Y'all come back now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
What a fun time! Everybody loves Weasley! I love going to pet friendly establishments. Lucky for us we can get into most places because Apache is a guide dog puppy in training.

Looks like such a fun outing! I love taking Betty to dog friendly places too!
ReplyDeleteThat's a sweet stroller! We are bringing Isabelle's stroller in October, but I bet Weasley will be too rowdy for a stroller by then.
ReplyDeleteGelato, yummy! That's nice that so many places are dog friendly. So far, we have found that there are lots more dog friendly places in Chicago then in the burbs. It's too bad, but maybe it will change ...

Hi friends! I found you on the Monday Blog Hop! It's a pleasure to meet you all. I am Pixel, a blogging mini schnauzer. What a great restaurant that allowed you all inside. Mommy has a hard time finding places that will allow me in, but we live in the mountains. I'd love to have you visit my blog sometime. I've signed up to follow your blog, will you follow mine? I'll add you to my blog list of friends too if you want.

Oh what a blast! We love places that allow doggies. It looks like a great place to go every weekend. Did you get a cone? Cup? Or just a taste? Either way it just looks like fun. Happy Monday! ~Weinerful Gang~
